React: Server Components, Astro, MUI, Next.js, and More
This week in React, there are several exciting updates and releases. Astro, a popular framework, has released version 2.9 with a new experimental feature called View Transitions. This feature allows developers to create fluid, animated transitions between HTML pages without client-side routing. Another noteworthy update is the release of Solito 4, which unifies React-Native and Next.js under shared abstractions. With this update, developers can now use Next.js App Router in React-Native projects. However, it's important to note that React-Native does not yet support React-Server Components. Additionally, there are updates to popular libraries and tools such as MUI, React-Query, Storybook, and Lottie. Overall, these updates and releases provide developers with new features and enhancements to improve their React and React-Native projects.
